The Voxel Furniture, ETH Zurich, 2009
Elective Course

The students designed furniture for the urban spaces of Science City during a four weeks workshop. Afterwards the furniture was fabricated at the assistant professorship for Architecture and Digital Fabrication. Depending on their orientation the furniture works as a communicative seating area, a bench or a private armchair. By rolling the furniture over the campus it can be freely arranged into a multitude of different configurations. Thus the users playfully engage the design of their environment.
