José Miguel is a software engineer at Gramazio Kohler, where he works on developing data exchange plugins for Revit, Cadwork, and similar CAD and BIM software.

He defended his PhD in Computer Science and Technology at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid in 2026, studying the security and privacy implications of the browser extensions ecosystem. He collaborates with the Gregorio Marañón Biomedical Research Institute (IiSGM) on research regarding mass spectrometry of microbial organisms. He is also heavily involved in the free and open-source community, maintaining several electronic invoicing libraries.

José Miguel finds it really weird talking about himself in third person, but he did it anyway in order to have a biography page.
